The rising fuel prices in Lahore have become a major concern for citizens. As petrol prices increase, the cost of transportation, food, and other daily necessities also rises. People who travel long distances for work or education are especially affected because they have to spend more money on fuel every month.
Higher fuel prices also increase the operating costs of buses, rickshaws, delivery services, and businesses. This ultimately puts additional pressure on household budgets. For many families, managing daily expenses has become increasingly difficult.
The government should take steps to reduce unnecessary taxes on fuel, improve public transportation, and provide relief to lower-income citizens. Affordable and reliable public transport can help reduce dependence on private vehicles and lessen the impact of rising fuel prices.
